This train is the fastest train in India with the top speed of 150 km/h (93 mph). The train commenced service in 1988 and was also the first Shatabdi train to be introduced. The train runs at an average speed of 93 km/h (58 mph) ,touching a top speed of 150 km/h (93 mph) on the 200 km (124 mi) New Delhi-Agra stretch, which is the fastest for a train in India.
